Funding cuts could silence rural radio stations
Nearly two dozen stations in Minnesota receive Corporation for Public Broadcasting funds, totaling $17.2 million in the last fiscal year. Most are on tribal lands or in small communities that are sometimes their only sources of information, especially in emergencies.
