Former Tamil Nadu Congress president EVKS Elangovan passes away at 75

Former Tamil Nadu Congress President EVKS Elangovan passed away at the age of 75 in a Chennai hospital after battling a lung-related issue for over two weeks. He served as the MLA for Erode East and previously represented the Gobichettipalayam Lok Sabha constituency. Elangovan was also the Textiles Minister in Manmohan Singh's government from 2004 to 2009.
