Former San Francisco chef Valentino Luchin arrested for robbing three banks using handwritten letters, faces multiple robbery charges

Valentino Luchin, a 62-year-old former San Francisco chef, is accused of robbing three banks by handing letters to tellers asking for money. Police quickly identified him with the help of community tips and SFPD programs. He was arrested the same day and faces robbery charges. Luchin also had a previous bank robbery case in 2018.
