First cloud seeding trial in Delhi between October 7-9

Delhi will conduct its first cloud seeding trial in northwest Delhi between October 7 and 9 to tackle air pollution, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said. The Delhi government signed an MoU with IIT Kanpur for five trials over two months at a cost of ₹3.2 crore. The DGCA has cleared IIT Kanpur to conduct operations using a Cessna aircraft.
