FII, retail investors raise stakes in Q3; 10 smallcap stocks surge up to 165%, 6 turn multibaggers

For retail investors, tracking where Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) invest can offer valuable market insights, as FIIs typically buy stocks only after conducting detailed research and gaining strong conviction. An analysis of the BSE SmallCap Index shows that 147 stocks witnessed an increase in shareholding by both FIIs and retail investors (individual shareholders with nominal share capital of up to Rs 2 lakh) in the December quarter compared with the previous quarter.In terms of price performance in FY26 so far, about 55 of these stocks have posted positive returns. From this set, we highlighted 10 stocks that have rallied between 75% and 165% in FY26, including six that turned multibaggers in less than a year, with both FIIs and retail investors raising their stakes during the December quarter.
