Fake Elon Musk, Rolex gift, and a dream meeting: Army captain tricked into fake Tesla investment, duped of Rs 72 lakh

A retired army officer from Faridabad was defrauded of Rs 72.16 lakh after falling victim to an elaborate scam promising a meeting with Elon Musk. The fraudsters, posing as Musks associates, convinced him to invest in SpaceX, Tesla, and cryptocurrency. Using fake online identities, they manipulated him into transferring large sums. When he realised the fraud, he approached the police, who have now launched an investigation into the cybercrime case.
