Extortion case accused Walmik Karad sent in 14-day judicial custody

A Maharashtra court has placed Walmik Karad, accused in an extortion case tied to the murder of santosh Deshmukh, in 14-day judicial custody. Karad, linked to a state minister, was booked under MCOCA. Deshmukh, a sarpanch, was killed after resisting a 2 crore extortion attempt, with Karad allegedly in contact with the killers.
