Excise policy case: President Draupadi Murmu grants sanction to ED to prosecute AAP leader Satyendar Jain

President Draupadi Murmu has approved the prosecution of AAP leader Satyendra Jain in a money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy. The Home Ministry had previously granted sanction to the Enforcement Directorate for prosecution based on sufficient evidence. Legal proceedings against Jain will be initiated under Section 218 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023.
