Europe threatens to cut trade benefits for countries that refuse to cooperate on immigration

Developing countries and least developed countries could face higher tariffs if they refuse to take back their citizens who are expelled from the European Union (EU). However, the agreement reached Monday between the Council and the European Parliament includes mechanisms so complex that it is unlikely to be enforced.
