EU ambivalence towards Georgia's disputed parliamentary elections
The EU is calling for an independent investigation into irregularities in the voting process on October 26. However, it does not intend to take a position on the election's legitimacy, much to the disappointment of the opposition, which is pro-European. The pro-Russian ruling party has been in power since 2012.
