Equity MFs deploy Rs 8,900 crore cash in August

Mutual fund cash balances decreased in August due to block deals. Motilal Oswal MF, SBI MF, and ICICI Prudential MF were top players, while Kotak MF, Nippon India MF, and PPFAS MF added to their cash reserves. Some schemes increased cash buffers, and stock-level shifts were seen in large cap. Selective caution was observed.
