Eli Lilly’s Mounjaro gets marketing approval for weight-loss and diabetes treatment in India

US pharma giant Eli Lilly has secured Indian regulatory approval to market Mounjaro, its widely used diabetes and weight-loss drug. Available in six dosages, Mounjaro helps manage type 2 diabetes and chronic obesity by regulating blood sugar and appetite. This approval provides a new treatment option for India's large diabetic and obese population, a market also targeted by Novo Nordisk's Wegovy.
