ED, IBBI frame new standards to ensure restoration of assets to cheated homebuyers, banks

Assets of bankrupt companies and their promoters attached by the ED will now be restored to affected parties like banks and home buyers. A new standard operating procedure, developed with the IBBI, allows Insolvency Professionals to seek release of these assets for restitution. This coordinated approach ensures prosecution of offenders while protecting creditor interests.
