ECI issues show cause notice to West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar

The Election Commission issued a show cause notice to West Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar for allegedly insulting the national emblem and the West Bengal police. The Trinamool Congress filed a complaint alleging that Majumdar made the remarks during a by-election campaign event. The ECI has given Majumdar until 8 pm today to respond.
