EC orders immediate transfer of Maharashtra DGP

The Election Commission has ordered the immediate transfer of Maharashtra's DGP Rashmi Shukla following complaints from various political parties, including the Congress. The Maharashtra chief secretary must hand over Shukla's charge to the next senior-most IPS officer and propose a panel of three IPS officers for the DGP appointment by Tuesday afternoon.
