Driver flung from army truck after car swerves in front of military convoy

A driver was flung from behind the wheel of an army truck after a car swerved in front of a convoy on the A43. Crenguta Aruxandei, 44, of Old Factory Way, Northampton, abruptly took the exit for Hulcote, Northamptonshire, pulling in front of a military Land Rover Defender and causing the driver to take evasive action to avoid a collision. Video shows the military vehicle and its trailer repeatedly rolling across both lanes before coming to rest as another Land Rover manages to stop safely. Two men sustained serious injuries, including the military Land Rover driver, who suffered a suspected fractured back, after the incident on 10 January. Aruxandei was handed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, after pleading guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving.
