Spokesperson Sharad Sharma stated that the new moon, or Amavasya, begins on the afternoon of October 31. Additionally, Deepotsav, which precedes Diwali, will be observed on October 30, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti in Ayodhya. Diwali, a festival celebrating the victory of good over evil, marks Lord Ramas return to Ayodhya.
