'Disappointed that billionaire loan waiver proposal ignored in Budget,' says Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal expressed disappointment that his suggestion to end loan waivers for billionaires wasn't included in the Union Budget 2025-26. He stressed a significant public exchequer portion is wasted on these waivers. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, however, introduced tax reliefs for the middle class, including an income tax exemption for earnings up to Rs 12 lakh.
