Detroit Lakes man sentenced to 35 years for Bemidji murder

Daniel Keezer, 21, received a sentence harsher than state guidelines call for and agreed to serve 35 years in prison in his guilty plea. He fatally stabbed Andrew Fisher, 18, on June 24, 2023. It was a drug deal that turned deadly when Keezer, his brother and a friend chased and beat Fisher who had just graduated from Bemidji High School.
