Delhi HC says Ratan Tata is a known figure, his trademark must be protected

The Delhi High Court restrained a journalist from using Ratan Tata's name and trademarks for an unauthorised award event. Recognising Ratan Tata as a well-known figure, the court emphasized protection against misuse. The journalist agreed to stop using Tatas name. Damages of over Rs 2 crore were sought for harming Tata Trust's reputation and goodwill.
