Delhi govt asks CAQM to hit breaks on fuel ban on old vehicles over tech, enforcement hurdles

The Delhi government has appealed to the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to postpone the enforcement of a ban on fuel supply to older vehicles. Citing technological and logistical challenges, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa requested a delay until the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is fully integrated across the National Capital Region (NCR).
