Defence ministry signs contract with firm to procure 6 Air Cushion Vehicles

The defence ministry has contracted Chowgule & Company Pvt. Ltd. to procure six Air Cushion Vehicles for the Indian Coast Guard at Rs 387.44 crore. These vessels, set to be indigenously manufactured, will enhance maritime security through versatile roles like patrolling, search and rescue, and reconnaissance, aligning with the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiative.
