Days after setback in SC, Karnataka government tables Bill on Palace Grounds utilisation

The Bangalore Palace (Utilisation and Regulation of Land) Bill was tabled in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. The Bill replaces an Ordinance that was passed earlier, which the government promulgated to reserve the right to acquire or not acquire the Palace Grounds land for the widening of the traffic-choked Ballari Road and Jayamahal Road.
