Dairy is sensitive sector; no plans to open up in any FTA: Piyush Goyal

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal stated that India will not provide duty concessions in the dairy sector under any Free Trade Agreement due to its sensitivity involving small farmers' livelihoods. Despite recent trade agreements with Switzerland, Norway, and Australia, the dairy sector remains protected. Goyal emphasized mutual understanding of sensitivities in ongoing CECA talks with Australia.
