Cutting down on litigations aim of new I-T Bill, says Finance Ministry official

The proposed Income Tax law aims to simplify the language to reduce tax disputes and litigation. The Finance Ministry has clarified that the new bill is not intended to end the old tax regime or eliminate incentives. Efforts are being made to expedite case resolution and implement a risk-based approach to Transfer Pricing assessment.
