Crouser and Chebet get gold on first day of athletics worlds

American Ryan Crouser added a third straight shot put world title to his three Olympic golds on Saturday while Kenya's Beatrice Chebet got 10,000 metres gold a year after her Olympic success. Team USA also celebrated back-to-back gold in the mixed 4x400m relay on the opening day of the nine-day championships which had started with 35km race walk golds for Canada's Evan Dunfee and Maria Pérez of Spain in sweltering conditions.
