Crawford County Career Technology Center Receives Grant

Carhartt is proud to announce a $375,000 grant through its “For the Love of Labor” program to the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). Hand-out The Crawford County Career Technology Center has been named as one of the 15 schools to receive a $25,000 donation from the For the Love of Labor grant. The grant a total of $375,000 is distributed by Carhartt and will help introduce Career and Technical Education programs.The National Center for Construction Education and Research or NCCER will give students the tools and training necessary for careers in specialized trades.The Crawford County Career Technology Center will gain industry-recognized curriculum, resources, and testing that produces workforce ready students.To date, the grant program has:Increased NCCER’s High School Builder Program to 25- Carhartt Supported School (total 70 nationwide).Awarded 27 grants (nearly $3.5 million) to eligible U.S. based 501©3 designated organizations in recognized apprenticeship industries that serve at least 100 individuals annually.Supported recipient organizations in adding new programming, instructors and resources ultimately graduating more apprenticeship students to help close the country’s skilled trades gap.
