'Consent not important': High Court on unnatural sex between husband and wife
The Chhattisgarh high court acquitted a man convicted of rape after ruling that sexual acts by a husband with his adult wife without her consent are not offences. The court stated that the amended Section 375 of the IPC excludes marital rape. The man had faced charges following his wife's death in 2017.
