Congressional redistricting map passes House committee, pushing Dems towards quorum break
Republicans on the Texas House Select Committee on Congressional Redistricting passed House Bill 4 on a party-line vote. Democrats could prevent further action by refusing to show up, denying Republicans the necessary number of lawmakers needed for the House to function, an action they last took in 2021.
