CM Nitish Kumar announces domicile policy for teachers' recruitment in Bihar ahead of polls

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has declared a 'domicile policy' for government teacher recruitment, prioritizing residents of Bihar. This directive, issued before the upcoming assembly elections, instructs the Education Department to amend rules accordingly. The policy will take effect from the Teachers Recruitment Exam (TRE)-4 this year, with TRE-5 scheduled for 2026.
