Citi reduces costs, invests in tech

Citi posted cost reductions in the third quarter as it benefits from ongoing simplification efforts.   The $1.7 trillion bank’s total operating expenses clocked in at $13.3 billion, down 2% year over year, according to the bank’s Q3 2024 earnings supplement.
