Chinese influence operation targets US down-ballot races, Microsoft says

Microsoft research reveals that Chinese-controlled social media bots are targeting voters in Alabama, Texas, and Tennessee to influence elections and denigrate Republican lawmakers, including U.S. Senator Marco Rubio and Representatives Barry Moore, Michael McCaul, and Marsha Blackburn, by promoting antisemitic messages and corruption accusations.
