China's rare earth magnet exports rise 10.2% in August from July

China's rare earth magnet exports surged in August, reaching a seven-month peak after experiencing a dip in April due to export restrictions. Overall shipments increased by 10.2% from July and 15.4% year-on-year, following agreements with the U.S. and Europe to ease export controls. However, exports to the United States specifically saw a decline, falling 4.7% from the previous month.
