China’s national parks thrive with wildlife

China took a significant step in environmental conservation by establishing its first five national parks in 2021, covering 230,000 square kilometers and protecting nearly 30 percent of the country's key terrestrial wildlife species. These parks—Sanjiangyuan, Giant Panda, Northeast China Tiger and Leopard, Hainan Tropical Rainforest, and Wuyi Mountain—highlight China's dedication to preserving its biodiversity.
