China acts against 40 Japanese entities over military ties

Chinas commerce ministry imposed export controls on 20 Japanese entities, including Mitsubishi Corporation, and added 20 more, such as Subaru Corporation, to a watch list over alleged military ties. Beijing cited national security concerns, saying the measures target dual-use items and not normal trade, amid rising tensions between the two countries.
