Chhattisgarh claims nearly Rs 5,000 crore loss in liquor case

An investigation into the alleged Chhattisgarh liquor scam has revealed a loss to the exchequer of nearly ₹5,000 crore, more than double the initial estimate. The probe is ongoing, involving the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and Enforcement Directorate (ED). Amid the investigation, accused Arun Pati Tripathi is set to be released on bail on April 10.
