Chennai: Samsung employees' protest enters ninth day

Samsung employees' protest at the Sungavachatiram plant near Chennai has entered its ninth day. Led by union head E. Muthukumar, workers are demanding better wages and working conditions. Talks with the state labour department have failed, and over 100 employees were detained and later released. Further protests are planned.
