Centre has no role in panel's recommendation to stop state funding for madrassas: MoS George Kurian

Union Minister George Kurian clarified that the Central government had no involvement in the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights' (NCPCR) recommendation to halt state funding for madrassas. The NCPCR, a quasi-judicial body, independently suggested withholding funds unless madrassas comply with the Right to Education Act, citing concerns about the quality of education. Kurian emphasized that judicial intervention is the appropriate course of action.
