Centre extends tenure of Registrar General, appoints new Special Secretary for internal security

The Central government has extended the tenure of Registrar General and Census Commissioner Mritunjay Kumar Narayan until August 4, 2026, and appointed Praveen Vashista as Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Ministry of Home Affairs, effective from Sivagami Sundari Nanda's superannuation on December 31, 2024.
