Centre extends tenure of Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri till July 14, 2026

Vikram Misri's tenure as India's Foreign Secretary has been extended until July 14, 2026. The decision, announced Monday by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, allows Misri to continue in the role beyond his November 30 retirement date. Misri, a 1989 batch IFS officer, assumed the Foreign Secretary position on July 15.
