CCPA slaps Rs 3 lakh fine on VLCC for misleading ads on slimming treatments

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has fined VLCC Ltd Rs 3 lakh for misleading advertisements about slimming treatments using the US-FDA approved CoolSculpting procedure. VLCC made exaggerated claims of drastic weight loss and inch reduction in a single session, exceeding the actual approval granted to the machine.
