Cabinet approves Rs 24,475 cr subsidy on P&K fertilisers for rabi season

The Indian government has approved a subsidy of Rs 24,474.53 crore on phosphatic and potassic fertilizers for the rabi season of 2024-25. This decision aims to ensure that farmers have access to affordable crop nutrients. The subsidy will be provided through the Nutrient Based Subsidy scheme, effective since April 2010.
