Cabinet approves 3% DA hike for govt employees ahead of Diwali

The Union Cabinet has approved a 3 per cent increase in Dearness Allowance for central government employees and pensioners. This decision is expected to provide a financial boost to about 1.15 crore beneficiaries amid rising living costs. The most recent adjustment was a 4 per cent increase, effective from January 2024.
