Cabbie cons NRI with fake app at Mumbai airport, charges Rs 2,800 for 10-minute ride
An Australia-based NRI businessman was duped by a Mumbai taxi driver, paying Rs 2,800 for a short ride using a fake fare app. After he filed a complaint, the driver was arrested. Police have since apprehended nine more drivers involved in similar scams targeting late-night passengers.
