By-elections in J&K, Punjab scheduled on Oct 24: EC
The Election Commission has scheduled elections for four Rajya Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir and one in Punjab on October 24, with voting and counting on the same day. The J&K seats have been vacant since February 2021. The Punjab seat became available following Sanjeev Arora's resignation in July.
