Busta Rhymes punches his way into legal trouble; rapper hit with assault charge
Busta Rhymes, born Trevor Smith, allegedly assaulted a 50-year-old man in Brooklyn on January 10 by repeatedly punching him in the face. Rhymes, 52, received a desk appearance ticket for third-degree assault. The victim was hospitalized with facial swelling. The rapper is slated for a court appearance on February 3.
