Black Friday deals draw steady crowds

On Black Friday, big box retail's national holiday, thousands flocked to Best Buys, Targets and malls. The Mall of America measured 50,000 through the doors by 10 a.m., the best in several years. The day-after-Thanksgiving start to Christmas shopping season is not the urgent juggernaut of yore, but it still is the biggest sales day for most brick-and-mortar stores.
