BJP keeps half of the 24 parliamentary committee chairman posts, Congress gets four

The government has constituted department-related parliamentary standing committees following the Lok Sabha elections. The BJP secured 12 chairman posts, including key committees on home, defence, and finance. Congress received four chairmanships, including external affairs. Other opposition parties like AITC and DMK also received chairmanships for various committees.
