Bibek Debroy as I knew him: Economist, philosopher, history buff

Bibek Debroy, a respected economist and chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, has died in New Delhi at age 69. He was known for his contributions to economics, translations of Indian epics, and insightful columns on policy and infrastructure. Debroy was nostalgic about his roots in Assam, now Meghalaya.
