Bharat Bandh July 9: Public transport disrupted in Bihar, West Bengal and other Indian states

The Bharat Bandh strike, led by 10 central trade unions, disrupted transport and services across India, protesting the 2020 labour laws and economic policies. States like Odisha, Kerala, Bihar, and West Bengal saw major blockades. Unions demand scrapping labour codes, increased MNREGA wages, and public sector recruitment, alleging the reforms weaken worker rights and democratic structures.
